We're in search of a dynamic Payroll Administrator to join our client's payroll department. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role will involve maintaining data accuracy, resolving payroll issues promptly, and collaborating with the team to ensure seamless operations within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Process biweekly payroll accurately for employees across multiple provinces.
- Gather and input payroll data into systems (Deltek and Dayforce).
- Review payroll transactions including new hires and terminations.
- Maintain precise payroll records and generate timely reports.
- Reconcile payroll accounts monthly.
- Address employee queries and resolve discrepancies.
- Stay updated on payroll regulations and adjust processes accordingly.
- Conduct payroll audits for necessary corrections.
- Verify and adjust year-end T4/T4A’s and prepare reconciliations.
- Timely calculation and remittance of various compensation requirements.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of payroll experience.
- PCP and/or CMA designation or close to completion preferred.
- Experience with bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Knowledge of Canadian multiprovincial payroll is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Dayforce payroll processing.
- Experience with Deltek software is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
