Finance Manager, Corporate Accounting
Industry: Aerospace and Space TechnologyOverview:
A fast-growing organization in the aerospace and space technology sector is seeking a Finance Manager, Corporate Accounting to support corporate close activities, consolidations, technical accounting, policy development, and financial reporting. This role works closely with senior leaders in corporate finance, operational finance teams, and cross-functional stakeholders. It reports directly to the Senior Manager, Accounting and External Reporting.Key Responsibilities:
• Support the corporate close and consolidation processes, including preparing and reviewing corporate accounting journal entries.
• Lead accounting and reporting for equity compensation programs.
• Manage legal entity accounting, including intercompany transactions.
• Ensure financial management policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
• Research and interpret IFRS guidance and prepare technical accounting memos or position papers.
• Develop policy and procedure documentation under IFRS and provide training to internal stakeholders.
• Support or lead special projects as assigned.
• Assist in the implementation of new financial systems and reporting tools.
• Build strong working relationships with operational finance teams, management, and other corporate groups.Requirements:
• CPA designation (CA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5+ years of post-designation experience in corporate controllership or public practice.
• Proven hands-on experience applying IFRS to complex business transactions.
• Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
• Experience working with or designing internal control frameworks.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• High attention to detail, strong ethics, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication, analytical, and technical accounting skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with financial reporting systems is an asset.Additional Requirements:
Candidates must be eligible to obtain Reliability-level security clearance and meet requirements under the Controlled Goods Program, with the potential for higher-level clearances if needed.
