What you will do
• Lead acquisition processes from the first conversation to closing
• Assess new opportunities through financial analysis, modelling, and direct discussions with business owners
• Build detailed financial models and valuation analyses
• Develop investment recommendations and support offer development
• Negotiate commercial terms with guidance from senior leadership
• Coordinate full due diligence across finance, tax, HR, legal, and technical teams
• Build strong long term relationships with founders and management teams
• Contribute to strategic discussions as the M&A function growsWhat you bring
• Five to seven years of progressive M&A experience with true deal execution exposure
• Background in investment banking, corporate finance, corporate development, or mid market advisory
• Strong financial modelling and valuation capability
• Comfort working in environments with imperfect information and less polished processes
• Curiosity about how businesses actually operate and create value
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
• CPA, CFA, or MBA is an asset but not requiredWhy this role stands out
