- Description
We're partnering with a leading multidisciplinary engineering and design firm to recruit an experienced Project Manager for their Buildings group. This team supports a diverse portfolio of institutional and commercial clients and is known for delivering complex, highly technical projects—including healthcare facilities, mission-critical environments, transit and aviation infrastructure, higher-education buildings, and civic developments. Their collaborative model brings together specialists across engineering and construction disciplines to provide clients with integrated, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading multi-disciplinary project teams on medium to large, often highly complex building projects.
Overseeing the full lifecycle of project delivery—scope, schedule, budget, risk, client communications, and team coordination.
Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring expectations are clearly aligned and progress is consistently communicated.
Creating, tracking, and adjusting project schedules and budgets to keep work on course.
Guiding the design process to ensure alignment with program requirements, client goals, and financial constraints.
Preparing, negotiating, and managing project agreements.
Monitoring financial performance and ensuring strong project profitability.
Collaborating closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal partners to deliver cohesive, high-quality outcomes.
Maintaining thorough project records—contracts, reports, budgets, schedules, meeting minutes, and other documentation.
Proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
Mentoring and supporting junior team members as they grow into leadership roles.
Leading internal and external coordination meetings and representing the project team during client and site discussions.
Managing change orders, contractor payments, and contract modifications.
Supporting permit applications and assisting with issue resolution as needed.
Participating in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
What You Bring
Solid background in buildings-related engineering projects, with experience spanning early design through construction administration.
Knowledge of regional permitting, codes, and municipal processes.
A strong track record of directing multi-disciplinary teams on complex assignments.
Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities at once.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a collaborative and client-focused approach.
Experience with business development or proposal writing.
Preferred exposure to data center projects—hyperscale, enterprise, or colocation—including coordination of MEP and structural systems and secure or high-performance computing environments.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural), Architecture, or a comparable Technology program.
A minimum of 6 years of experience leading large-scale projects (typically $50M and above).
Primarily hybrid-based work with travel to project sites as required; site visits may involve exposure to varying weather conditions.
