The successful candidate will bring 10+ years of expertise in industrial architecture, advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows, and a strong grasp of construction practices, building codes, and quality assurance. A passion for mentoring and elevating team standards is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the delivery of major industrial projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks are consistently met.
- Oversee and integrate contributions from multidisciplinary collaborators in a team-oriented environment.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, fostering professional growth.
- Establish and enforce rigorous standards for documentation, design quality, and project outcomes.
- Utilize advanced Revit skills to produce detailed models, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building regulations, construction technologies, and industrial design trends.
- Apply expertise across a range of industrial facility types, including manufacturing plants, logistics hubs, and data centers.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to clients, stakeholders, and project partners during early design phases.
- Assess and coordinate building systems, materials, and specifications to align with design objectives.
- Integrate sustainable design strategies into industrial projects.
- Evaluate site conditions, including environmental and geotechnical factors, to inform design decisions.
- Safeguard design intent throughout documentation and construction.
- Collaborate closely with contractors and construction managers across varied project delivery models.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven leadership in managing industrial architecture projects from concept through completion.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM coordination.
- Strong mentoring abilities and team leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and life-safety requirements.
- Familiarity with industrial construction systems, materials, and technical specifications.
- Competence with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Newforma, and Bluebeam.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Education & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
- At least 10 years of experience in industrial architecture.
- Professional registration (OAA or LTOAA) considered an asset.
