- Description
We are seeking a commercially astute and operationally driven Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from pre-construction through close-out. This role sits at the intersection of estimating, operations, and client leadership—ideal for a builder who thrives on accountability, precision, and delivering exceptional outcomes.
You will own the full project lifecycle: validating scope, leading procurement strategy, managing financial performance, driving schedule execution, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants. This is a highly visible role with direct influence over project profitability, stakeholder relationships, and future business growth.
What You’ll Do
Lead Projects from Strategy to Delivery
Interpret drawings and specifications to define scope, risk exposure, and cost strategy
Evaluate design alternatives and recommend value-driven solutions that balance cost, constructability, engineering integrity, and material availability
Develop and execute comprehensive project schedules in collaboration with site leadership
Ensure construction aligns precisely with contractual drawings and specifications
Drive Commercial and Financial Performance
Oversee subcontractor procurement and buy-out to ensure full scope coverage and cost certainty
Finalize subcontract agreements and negotiate client contracts with confidence
Monitor actual costs against estimates, providing accurate weekly and monthly financial reporting
Review and validate progress billings and change orders to protect margin and ensure contractual compliance
Maintain detailed documentation supporting pricing, supplier quotes, and cost assumptions
Manage Change and Risk Proactively
Analyze consultant-issued changes and secure complete, competitive subcontract pricing
Prepare and present change order submissions with clarity and commercial rigor
Identify and resolve schedule, labor, delivery, and payment issues before they impact outcomes
Build Strong Relationships
Act as the primary liaison with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
Lead effective, solution-oriented project meetings
Develop strategic stakeholder relationships that position the organization for repeat and new business
Maintain strong knowledge of union agreements and labor structures
Resource and Team Leadership
Coordinate labor allocation to meet project requirements
Collaborate across estimating, operations, and field teams to drive seamless execution
Champion continuous improvement by introducing processes that enhance efficiency and performance
What You Bring
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Demonstrated success managing full-cycle construction management projects
Strong expertise in estimating, quantity take-offs, pricing, scheduling, and cost control
Experience with Procore, MS Project, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and construction documentation platforms
PMP, Gold Seal, or LEED accreditation considered an asset
Sound decision-making skills and strong commercial acumen
Confident communicator with executive-level presentation ability
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently and lead collaboratively
