- Description
Are you a treasury professional who gets frustrated when things are done manually just because "that's how it's always been done"? Do you see a spreadsheet and immediately think about how to automate it? This might be the role for you.
We're working with a well-established organization in Oakville to find a Senior Treasury Analyst on a contract basis — with a very real path to going permanent for the right person.
The Opportunity
This isn't a bank rec role. You won't be reconciling bank statements all day. This is a strategic treasury position where you'll be managing cash across multiple legal entities, driving efficiencies, and making a real impact on how the treasury function operates. The team is lean, the work is meaningful, and they need someone who can hit the ground running and think outside the box.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing cash positioning and executing strategic movements across multiple legal entities
- Ensuring entities are funded efficiently without sitting on excess cash balances
- Reporting on long-term debt, receivables, and external debt obligations
- Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Maintaining SOX compliance and internal controls
- Leading process improvement and automation initiatives — if it's manual, you'll be expected to fix it
- Supporting treasury tool optimization and implementation projects
- Working cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Tax, and other internal partners
- Supporting internal and external audit requirements
What You Bring
- 2–3 years of hands-on treasury experience — strategic cash operations, not just bank recs
- CPA or CFA in progress or completed (advanced stages preferred)
- Strong Excel skills — we're talking macros, automation, and building solutions from scratch
- A proven track record of driving process improvements — you need to be able to talk to this in an interview
- Debt reporting experience — long-term debt, receivables, US GAAP or IFRS
- SOX compliance background
- Project management skills
- Adaptability — this role will evolve and you'll be expected to evolve with it
Bonus points for:
- Kyriba or any TMS experience
- SAP
- Public company background
