Overview:
Our client, a leading utilities company, is seeking a Manager / Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A on a 6-month contract to lead and manage financial planning, modeling, and reporting at the corporate level. This role is ideal for a finance professional who doesn’t just review the P&L but understands every line and driver of the business. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in corporate FP&A, corporate finance, or investment analysis and will play a key role in informing strategic decision-making across the organization.Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage the company’s 3-statement financial model (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
Build, maintain, and enhance complex financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives.
Prepare and deliver board and executive reporting packages, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and validate financial assumptions.
Lead monthly reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting processes, providing detailed commentary on business drivers.
Drive the budgeting process and rolling forecasts at the corporate level.
Perform ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and corporate decision-making.
Qualifications:
Professional designation: CPA, CA, or CFA required.
Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive experience in corporate FP&A, corporate finance, or investment analysis, with direct responsibility for financial modeling.
Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills; ability to connect operational metrics to financial outcomes.
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems considered an asset.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering insights to senior leadership and boards.
Strong business acumen, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic corporate environment.
