Description

We are seeking an accomplished architectural leader to strengthen our client's Ontario-based industrial practice. This role will be central to shaping and expanding a high-performing team culture while delivering complex projects across the province. Reporting to senior leadership, the successful candidate will combine technical expertise with business development acumen to drive growth in the industrial and mission-critical sectors.

Their clients operate across a wide spectrum of industries, including:

  • Manufacturing and assembly
  • Public transit and transportation infrastructure
  • Automotive and aerospace
  • Food and beverage production
  • Warehousing, logistics, and distribution
  • Chemicals, polymers, and advanced materials
  • Energy and utilities
  • Science, technology, and defense

They deliver both new builds and renovations for facilities such as:

  • Data centers and mission-critical environments
  • Transit and fleet maintenance facilities
  • Warehouses, fulfillment centers, and parcel sortation hubs
  • Manufacturing plants (light and heavy industrial)
  • Food processing and packaging facilities
  • Energy transmission and support structures
  • Aircraft hangars and specialized industrial support spaces

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of industrial and data center projects from concept through completion.
  • Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Produce and oversee project documentation across all phases.
  • Maintain rigorous standards for quality, safety, and project performance.
  • Advance internal design methodologies and technical expertise.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to remain current with industry trends.
  • Build and sustain strong client relationships.
  • Facilitate meetings with clients and project teams, ensuring clear communication.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on project progress.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and reports to stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within industrial and commercial sectors.
  • Contribute to proposals, RFP strategies, and client interviews.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects through all stages of the design and construction cycle.
  • Proven track record in business development within industrial and data center markets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams independently.
  • Expertise in design, detailing, and construction documentation.
  • Thorough knowledge of zoning regulations and the Ontario Building Code.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education & Experience

  • Professional degree in Architecture.
  • Registration as an Architect in Ontario (OAA preferred).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in industrial and data center projects.
