Design-Led Architectural Practice | Ontario

Our client, a design-driven architectural practice, has retained us to identify an Architect or Project Architect to join their growing studio. This firm is known for delivering thoughtful institutional and community-focused projects across Ontario.

This opportunity is ideal for an architect who is motivated by design excellence and wants to contribute meaningfully to projects from concept through completion within a collaborative, studio-based environment.

The Opportunity

Lead Design with Purpose

  • Develop strong architectural concepts grounded in clarity, functionality, and spatial impact
  • Advance projects through design development with careful attention to detailing and constructability
  • Contribute to the overall design narrative and quality of each project

Translate Vision into Buildable Reality

  • Produce coordinated, comprehensive construction documentation
  • Utilize BIM tools to resolve complexity and maintain documentation integrity
  • Work closely with consultants and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained through execution

Contribute to a Collaborative Studio Culture

  • Participate in active design dialogue and interdisciplinary coordination
  • Share knowledge and contribute to evolving technical and design standards
  • Support continuous improvement in systems, workflows, and client service delivery

Take Ownership

  • Manage assigned project components with accountability for schedule and scope
  • Build strong, professional relationships with clients and project partners
  • Contribute to repeat business through design quality and reliability

Candidate Profile

  • Registered Architect in good standing with the OAA, or pursuing designation
  • Experience within a Canadian architectural practice
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and BIM-based project delivery
  • Demonstrated design capability supported by built work
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in institutional, healthcare, or long-term care projects is considered an asset
