Location: Vaughan, ON (On-Site)
The Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and highly regarded mid-sized law firm in Vaughan, is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collegial, down-to-earth team supporting a sophisticated and active client base across a broad range of commercial real estate matters.
The firm offers a supportive environment, strong leadership, and the opportunity to take ownership of files while working closely with experienced lawyers on complex transactions.Key Responsibilities- Manage commercial real estate files from inception through to closing, with a high degree of autonomy
- Prepare and review a wide range of transactional documents, including agreements of purchase and sale, closing documents, financing and security documentation
- Coordinate and conduct title and off-title searches, review and analyze results, and identify potential issues
- Liaise directly with clients, lenders, and third parties to facilitate smooth and timely closings
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical file records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Monitor key dates, manage deadlines, and proactively advance files
- Assist lawyers with transaction structuring and problem-solving to keep deals moving efficiently
Qualifications & Experience- Minimum of 5+ years of consecutive experience as a Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk
- Law Clerk diploma or equivalent education/experience
- Strong experience handling commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financings
- Solid understanding of title searching, registrations, and closing procedures in Ontario
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
