- Produce and revise documentation through each design phase — floor plans, diagrams, and details
- Work through design problems with your teammates to land on workable solutions
- Deliver against project schedules and budgets
- Coordinate your design work with other disciplines, other offices, and the broader project team

- Take part in constructability reviews
- Follow the firm's quality assurance and quality control process
- Handle construction administration, including site reviews
- Mentor, coach, and train less experienced staff as needed
What you bring- Working knowledge of structural design codes, standards, and applicable building codes — OBC, A23.3, S16, S304, and O86 among them
- Familiarity with every phase of document production and how drawings and specifications relate to one another
- Practical knowledge of structural systems, construction means and methods, and materials
- Comfort collaborating in a project team, with a willingness to think both creatively and critically
- A solid grasp of structural engineering concepts and the ability to explain your reasoning clearly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with component design and building analysis software; SAFE, SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, and/or MASS preferred
- A self-starter's instincts, an appetite for new ideas, and genuine enjoyment of team-based work
Education and experience- Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering from an accredited university (required)
- P.Eng. in good standing with PEO preferred
- 5+ years of relevant consulting experience within a buildings structural team preferred
