About the Role
They are seeking an Accounting Manager with strong full cycle accounting experience gained within public accounting. This role focuses on reviewing, correcting, and organizing client financial records. Many client files may contain incomplete, unclear, or inconsistent information, and the successful candidate will bring the ability to rebuild accurate financials and provide clear, professional guidance to clients.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys investigative accounting work, problem solving, and bringing structure to complex or unorganized client files.
Key Responsibilities
Client Accounting and Cleanup Work
• Review client financial records to identify gaps, inaccuracies, or inconsistencies
• Rebuild, reorganize, and clean up prior period financial information
• Correct historical transactions and ensure appropriate account classifications
• Communicate with clients to gather missing information and clarify details
• Manage full cycle accounting for client files including reconciliations, journal entries, AP, AR, and monthly closeFinancial Reporting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year end financial statements for clients
• Resolve discrepancies across accounts and subledgers
• Prepare accurate working papers to support year end files and collaboration with external tax teamsClient Collaboration and Advisory
• Present findings to clients in a clear, professional manner
• Provide practical recommendations to help strengthen clients’ bookkeeping practices
• Offer guidance to improve financial organization and ongoing record keepingProcess and Systems Improvement
• Strengthen documentation standards and internal controls within each client file
• Improve workflows, reporting accuracy, and structure within QuickBooks Online
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency across client engagementsDeadline and Multi Client Management
• Manage multiple client files at the same time

• Maintain high quality standards in a fast paced public accounting settingQualifications
• 5 plus years of full cycle accounting experience within a public accounting firm
• Significant experience cleaning up or rebuilding client financial records with incomplete or unstructured information
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, month end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and shifting priorities
• Comfortable communicating with clients at varying levels of accounting knowledge
